Emily came to fitness later in life because of her love of dance. A ballet dancer in her youth, she found and fell in love with Zumba
while trying to lose her pregnancy weight. When she realized how good it felt to exercise regularly, she started adding weight training.
Seeing positive changes in her body composition along with feeling great, she wanted to help others achieve the same. She started Empowered
Wellness Fitness Studio in 2011 with a friend, offering group fitness classes. The business grew to include more types of classes and
personal training, and in 2014 she got her personal training certification. Along with that certification, she has two certifications in
barefoot training and is also a Precision Nutrition coach. She loves to help people find their own love for exercise.
